With the aim to strengthen their campaign and potentially win the league, Arsenal is ready to exchange Campbell for a certain Spaniard if that is what it takes to lure the premier Celta man to the EPL.
After the news that Arsenal are set to sign the Egyptian defensive midfielder Mohamed Elneny, another transfer rumour involving the Gunners has surfaced and this one is even more juicier. In a bid to strengthen the team upfront, Wenger is aiming to get Nolito to the Emirates stadium in exchange for Joel Campbell.
Nolito has been exceptional for Celta scoring 8 goals in 15 games and also providing 5 assists. He is an all round player who just might be the talent that the Gunners need to further their cause in this campaign.
Though Wenger has been adamant about not spending much in the January transfer window, a chance to get Nolito to England will not be overlooked by the Frenchman who has been behind the Spaniard and even had talks with the 29 year old earlier this month.
Joel Campbell has had a decent season so far with his 2 goals in 8 matches. But when a chance to get Nolito comes his way, Wenger is not likely to let it go. Wenger has come out and told the press that he will make signings in January but that does not mean that talents like Alex Iwobi and Jeff Raine Adelaide will also not be overlooked.
With negotiations going on strong the ex Barcelona man just might feature at the Emirates stadium for the second half of the season. But before the transfer window opens Arsenal are set to play Bornemouth at home and would want to reach the top of the table after they failed to do so in the clash against Southampton.
