Arsenal Player Ratings: Bellerin, Ozil Impress As Gunners Clinch Crucial Victory Against Stoke

Arsenal have continued their good run of form in Premier League as they clinched three important points against Stoke City to move to the top of the Premier League. Goals from Theo Walcott, Mesut Ozil and Alex Iwobi saw Gunners cruise to victory after inital goal by Charlie Adam from the spot.

The result saw Gunners unbeaten run extend to 14 games in the Premier League as their last defeat date way back to mid August when they lost 4-3 to Liverpool. Here we look at the player ratings for Arsenal in their impressive 3-1 victory against Stoke City.

Petr Cech- 8

Despite not saving the penalty, Petr Cech had a near perfect game as he made a couple of world class saves to keep visitors out of contention.

Gabriel- 5

Looked out of sorts in the right back but was moved to central defence after the injury to Shkodran Mustafi. However, Stoke has failed to test Arsenal defence much.

Mustafi- 5

Was subbed off at 23 minutes due to hamstring injury. Although he looked impressive till that point.

Koscielny- 6

One of the rare off days for the Frenchman as he was caught off guard a number of times. With Stoke unable to impress in attack, Arsenal defense looked intact.

Monreal- 6

Decent overall as he was good moving forward but his aerial weakness is exploited by Stoke at times.

Coquelin- 7

Was able to dictate the play in the midfield as his passing accuracy stood at 93% and had a decent overall as he shielded the defense well.

Xhaka- 5

The Swiss midfielder has conceded penalty to see the visitors take early lead. Has looked impressive in the attack after that moment as he spread passes through the left flank on consistent basis.

Walcott- 8

Scored his 10th goal of the season and also his 100th club goal as he equalized just before half time to even things up. Made deep runs to ensure Stoke defense loses composure.

Ozil- 9

Mesut Ozil has been in great form since the start of the season and have now scored his ninth goal surpassing his goal tally of last season. His wonderful chipped header has taken Arsenal to lead in early second half.

Oxlade-Chamberlian- 7

Has been impressive since the start of the match which will give plenty of headaches to Wenger to choose between him and Alex Iwobi.

Sanchez- 7

Despite not scoring, Sanchez was impressive spraying the passes from deep to the attack and have worked hard till he was substituted by Giroud.

Substitutes

Bellerin- 9

Looked like the player before the injury as he came on for Mustafi early in the first half. His inclusion has made Arsenal look completely different as he was very good going forward.

Iwobi- 8

Scored the third goal for Arsenal as soon as he came on and has continued to look impressive.

Giroud- 6

Had little to do after coming on for Sanchez after 77 minutes.
