Belotti
Andrea Belotti linked with Arsenal

Arsenal are reportedly eyeing Torino star Andrea Belotti in a desperate attempt to bolster their frontline.

The 23-year old striker has garnered attention from several Premier League clubs after an impressive display in the last season where he found the back of the net on 12 occasions. And his brilliant start to the new season is bound to make the clubs more interested in the highly-rated striker. The Italy international scored 13 goals and registered 3 assists in 16 Serie A games thus far.

And Arsene Wenger, who was linked with the player in the summer before signing Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna, is all set to reignite his interest in the in-form forward. However, as per the reports in The Sun, Wenger has put his plans on hold for the time being because the striker will cost around £50million.

The report further claimed that the Arsenal gaffer wants to remain updated about the striker’s situation at the club and whether any other clubs is making a move for him.

Wenger is now willing to wait until the summer transfer window to make a move for the Torino ace.

As quoted in the news outlet, a source in Italy revealed: “Arsenal have an option for Belotti from Torino, and he is available for 60m Euros.

“That is to get him now before any other teams come in for him, but Arsenal will not pay that amount just yet. They will wait to see what happens with him this season, and think about moving for him again in the summer.”

Arsenal’s forward line is in good form the time being.  Alexis Sanchez, who has been used as a centre-forward this season, has scored 13 goals so far while Olivier Giroud has found the back of the net on 6 occasions. Furthermore, Danny Welbeck is all set to return to action after recovering from injury and Arsenal can surely do without a new striker for time being.

Meanwhile, Manchester United and Chelsea are also interested in securing the services of the Italian striker.
