Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that his only regret over their champions League victory against Basel is that his side failed to score more goals as they eventually won with a 2-0 scoreline.
‘The game was of quality, the win was comfortable, the only regret, maybe, is that we didn’t score enough goals, considering what we created,’ he told BT Sport.
‘Overall, I must say we’ve seen some excellent football tonight.
When asked about the drop in intensity after half-time, Wenger said: ‘It’s a bit inevitable, I wouldn’t like it to be inevitable, but I think it was similar to Saturday [against Chelsea], first half of excellent pace, second half was a little bit slower.’
