Arsenal club chiefs are reportedly present in Portugal to discuss over a potential transfer for highly-rated youngster Goncalo Guedes from Benfica.
The 19-year old is touted as one of the best young players in entire Portugal and have been a regular starter for Portuguese giants Benfica over the past two seasons.
It is reported that the Arsenal chiefs were present at Benfica’s pre-season friendly against Torino on Wednesday to make their presence known, claims O Jogo.
Arsenal are currently looking for options to bolster their attack going into the new season and were linked with the likes of Riyad Mahrez and Andre Lacazette. The Gunners are keen to sign a striker and an attacking midfielder before the close of the transfer window.
Guedes who is turning to be a good player at such tender age could be lured by Arsenal as they look to build on the momentum in Premier League last season.
The young winger could be a more realistic option for the Gunners as he will be available for much cheaper price than Lacazatte or Mahrez and with the club looking to do careful business in an already inflated market.
