Leicester City’s “players’ Player of the Year” award winner, N’Golo Kante could leave the club this summer. The 25-year-old star midfielder from France played one of the most important roles in the “Fairy-tale season” of Leicester City and thus many big clubs like Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal are showing great interest.
The Gunners are leading the race of signing the French midfielder and are eager to land Leicester City’s unsung hero at the Emirates by offering him a great deal.
Kante has a £20m release clause, which was mentioned in Kante’s contract paper following his move from Cean last summer for just £5.4m. But should Arsenal chose to activate his release clause or to launch a bid of their own and wait for the negotiations to be completed? – Will be an important decision for Arsene Wenger to make.
Kante had the most number of interceptions in this 2015/16 Premier League season and also won the most number of tackles, failing to hold onto the player will be a big setback for the Foxes.
Arsenal are a big club and will surely provide a better wage than Leicester and most importantly Wenger’s French connection: altogether the deal is looking very realistic and all set for Arsenal.
The Financial Fair play can get into Leicester’s business if they try to provide high wages to their key player to keep them at the King Power Stadium, on the other hand, Arsenal can easily provide a good amount of wage to the French midfielder.
N’Golo Kante hasn’t spoken anything about his future plans publicly, whereas Jaime Vardy and Riyad Mahrez have committed their future to Leicester City.
