According to reports in Spain, Arsenal Star Mesut Ozil is unhappy at the Emirates and has asked his former club, Real Madrid that he would like to join them.
The Germany international, whose current contract expires at the end of 2017-18 season, has been negotiating terms over a new contract for quite some time now but nothing concrete has materialised yet which has raised speculations over his future with the Gunners.Reports are suggesting that Arsenal are not willing to meet his £250,000-a-week wage demands, as a result, the playmaker is eyeing other options.
Spanish news Marca has reported that the World Cup winning midfielder never wanted to join the English giants and has contacted his former employers to tell them he would happily rejoin them. The report also claimed that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is a fan of the German playmaker which can be a deciding factor in the sensational deal.

Ozil has become one of the most important players for Arsene Wenger after arriving at the Emirates in a club record £42.5million deal in 2013. After an average start to his career with the English outfit, the playmaker hit top gear last season in which he registered 19 assists apart from scoring 3 goals. He has started this season in an emphatic manner too as he has already scored 7 goals and losing him will be a huge blow for the club.
Meanwhile, another important player, Alexis Sanchez has not signed a contract extension so far. He is also demanding an improved deal which has not been accepted by the club yet. The Chile international has been linked with Manchester City and Juventus and if the Gunners fail to tie him down as soon as possible, they might lose their prized asset.
