It is quite safe to say that Granit Xhaka’s situation at the Emirates has left everyone baffled. Arsenal spent a good fortune in the summer transfer window to secure the Switzerland international’s services from Borussia Monchengladbach but the midfielder has been warming the bench more often than not. The £35 million signing has started only eight games so far and despite performing well in those outings, he has failed to cement his place in the starting eleven.
Arsene Wenger’s decision to not include the Swiss star in the starting eleven against PSG despite the absence of Santi Cazorla was a clear indication that the midfielder is far from winning Wenger’s faith.
However, the 24-year old has said that he will not give up on his usual playing style or he would not remain the player that Arsenal saw before signing.

Known for his hot-headedness, the midfielder has already picked up a red card in the Premier League but remains adamant that he will continue to play ‘rough’.
“I knew about London before I got here of course, but I’ve settled in quick and the team has treated me well,’ he told Viasat.
“Arsenal knew how I played when they signed me. It can be both positive or negative, but that’s the way I play.
“Playing rough is my playing style. If someone takes that away from me, I will no longer be Granit Xhaka.”
