Arsenal stars Walcott and Bellerin challenged to a 40meter race by the sprinters
Arsenal are blessed with some of the fastest players in the Premier League including Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez, Kieron Gibbs and Danny Welbeck. Adding one more name to the list this season has been Hector Bellerin.
Not long ago, it was reported that Arsenal’s young fullback can match second for second against Usain Bolt in a 40 meter sprint. Recently enough, Bellerin broke Arsenal’s club sprint record over 40 meters which was previously held by Theo Walcott.
During his record-breaking sprint, Bellerin’s time after 40 second (4.41 secs) was quicker than Usain Bolt’s 4.64 secs mark when he set the 100 meter world record of 9.58 secs. Seeing this unbelievable stat, some of the professional athletes have used twitter to express their opinions which has turned in to a public call-out to Theo Walcott and Hector Bellerin.
Sprinters Richard Kilty has posted aggressive messages on his twitter feed challenging the time recorded by Bellerin and calling him out in public for a race. Kilty started by slamming the media first for creating such vague news and creating false buzz among the public.
Kilty went on to openly challenge the Arsenal’s duo of Walcott and Bellerin to a 40 meter sprint and he was so confident of beating them that he even went on to stake a massive bet of £30,000. He claimed, that race will over as fast as this media-hyped story.

Another Sprinter Craig Pickering laughed on the news of Bellerin clocking a faster speed than Usian Bolt during any stage of a sprint. Pickering asked a logical question to all the media people, i.e – How a Man who has done nothing his all life but to cover the 100 meter and 200 meter distance in teh quickest possible time could come behind a professional footballer who has to do so many things in training and for whom, Sprinting is just an added training method?
