Arsenal has been alerted to the availability of real Madrid forward Jese Rodriguez, whose future has come under the microscope due to a lack of playing time at the Bernabeu.
Jese has only made three appearances so far this season and could be available should Arsenal follow with their interest and make an official approach.
His agent Gines Carvajal told Marca: “he needs to play more, that’s the best way to keep his spirits up.
“The club will have to make a decision. He’s training well, he’s strong and has to seize the opportunity when it comes.”
Jese announced himself in the 2013/14 season with five goals in 18 matches before a cruciate ligament consigned him to a nine-month spell on the sidelines.
The Forward is now fully fit but has played just three times this season.
Meanwhile, one player who looks to be staying at the Emirates is star man Alexis Sanchez.
The 26-year-old the Chilean international has been interesting Real Madrid and could move there this summer.
But Sanchez played down the transfer talk and said “I’m very happy at Arsenal, I don’t think about leaving.
“I always want to be the best at everything I do. I’m never happy with what I do, I always want to give more.”
But despite Sanchez staying and the fact that Arsenal have scored 10 goals in their last 3 matches, the rumour mill is insistent that Arsene Wenger is spending every waking minute trying to sign strikers.
Another option is Alexandre Pato, of being good five years ago fame.
According to the Metro that Corinthians are willing to sell the forward for ‘just’ £18.5m. Only £18.5m for a player who Milan sold two years ago after he sold five goals in his last two seasons and there was Wenger saying there were no strikers out there worth buying.
Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi is another option for Wenger in January, according to French website Mercata365.
The 22-year-old Belgian has scored six goals in eight games this season and got a goal on his international debut back in March.
