The Gunners have been busy at the start of the week as the manager is trying to get deals done for players who can help him in the next season.
Though their priority is to find a top class European striker, they have made some good additions and are linked with a number of other players. So here is the transfer round up for Arsenal for the day:
The Emirates outfit are very close to announcing their next signing as it is reported that Bolton Wanderers’ defender Rob Holding has agreed on a £2m move to Arsenal.

It was reported that the 20-year old was in London for his medical with the club and the that the deal is all but done.
He is a dynamic defender who can play as a centre-back or as a full back and made 30-appearances for Bolton lasts season making him a decent addition to the squad at the Emirates.
They are also eyeing two further young additions in Manchester City centre-back Jason Denayer and Borussia Dortmund sensation Matthias Ginter.
Both the players are defenders who are currently not finding enough game time and Wenger seems to want to give them a chance to prove themselves for the long term.
In other news, Fluminense have confirmed the signing of Wellington Silva from Arsenal on a four-year-deal.
The 21-year old moved to Arsenal back in 2010 but was not able to make a single appearance making his move to England a failure.
Moving on, Wenger is searching high and dry for a decent striker but is not able to strike a deal with any of the big guns in Europe at the moment.
Their deal with Gonzalo Higuain seems to have broken down due to the asking price of £79m (his release clause). The Gunners are not happy to meet his valuation and are looking elsewhere at the moment.
Argentine international Mauro Icardi was linked with the club recently. But the Sun revealed earlier today that Juventus are keen on his signature this summer and Arsenal are now competing with the Italian giants for his signature.
The Daily Star reported that the Gunners are now looking to move for Lyon star Alexander Lacazette to lead the side this season.

He is reported to cost the club around 52m euros (£43.5m) which is the only reason why the English club is hesitating to make his signature. But having scored 21 goals in League 1 lasts season. He is more than a capable player to improve to the Arsenal squad next season.
And finally, Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin has been subject to interests from Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and a Spanish paper went as far to post that the Etihad outfit has made a bid for the player.

The Spaniard was superb for the Gunners last season as Wenger is looking to tie him to the long term but the player has revealed that he is open to a move to the Etihad. Though he is happy at Arsenal at the moment, Bellerin might be a to target for most European clubs in years to come.
