Though it was a shocking rumor, the Gunners were recently linked with a move for French international Wisaam Ben Yedder.
The Toulouse attacker was scouted as a possible addition to the squad to Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck if deals for all other European strikers fall through. But Wenger is set to miss out on this target as well with reports confirming that the 25-year old completed a move to Sevilla earlier today.
He moved to the Spanish outfit who are in search for a striker having let Kevin Gamiero move to Atletico Madrid this summer. This will come as a blow for the Gunners whose options in the transfer window are slowly reducing by the day.
