Arsenal have decided to land Ukrainian star Andriy Yarmolenko from Dynamo Kyiv after thorough scouting, says The Daily Star. The 26-year-old forward, who can also be deployed as a midfielder, has been in the radar of Arsene Wenger for a long time, and as per the reports both the clubs have agreed upon the transfer fee.
It is reported that the London club will have to splash 23 million Euros to land the player from Ukraine. However, a summer move is highly unlikely, due to heavy paper works and work permit issues, the deal will delay until summer. Everton also chased the player, before stepping back recently.
Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger also wants to empower his left-back position and has found Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell as a potential back-up for Nacho Monreal, who is in a purple patch of form. An initial offer of three million pounds for the England U-20 international was ignored by Leicester Club, reports Daily Express. But, Arsenal are poised to land a better bid and secure the transfer before Monday midnight.
Tottenham Hotspurs have also shown interest in the young prospect, but Arsenal are favourites to sign him if they match Leicester valuation for their left-back.
The Sun claims that Arsenal and Catalan giants are going to battle it out for Celta Vigo frontman, Nolito. The Catalans, along with a bunch of Premier League elites have shown interest in the 29-year-old forward, but due to Celta Vigo’s firm demand for huge money, most of the teams except Arsenal and Barcelona have lost their interest.
Arsenal were linked with Nolito at the start of pre-season but the news was underplayed due to heavy speculations surrounding Karim Benzema.
Daily Express also says that North London rivals, Arsenal and Tottenham will face stiff competition from each other for the signing of Emanuel Mammana from Florienta. The 19-year-old defender is regarded as one of the finest young defenders in Europe.
