As per Telegraph, Arsenal and Arsene Wenger have made Bayern Munich star Mario Gotze as their key summer target and a £30million bid is imminent from the Gunners.
Arsene Wenger has stressed on his side’s rise in form in recent times but did give a hint that they are 1-2 top class signing from attaining long-term success and Gotze seems to have been earmarked as key target for Arsenal.
Gotze has suffered a sticky spell under Pep Guardiola since making his move to Allianz Arena from Borussia Dortmund. Gotze has been constantly benched in key games and during the biggest game of the season for Bayern in the Champions League semifinal tie against Barcelona, Gotze was once again benched.
Such a treatment has triggered the news of Gotze’s exit from the club and Arsenal are looking to make the most of Gotze’s unhappy state and sign the German playmaker who won the world cup for Germany with his match winning goal against Argentina.
Gotze could be tempted to sign for Arsenal since there is already Mesut Ozil and Per Mertesacker who will help him ease in to the new league and new place.
Gotze’s playing style is similar to what Arsenal tend to sign. Gotze is a touch player who depends on his quick movements and gifted skills to bring about a change to the game. Arsene Wenger would try his best to sign the German, who has been valued in the region of £30million.
