Arguably the most surprising piece of transfer from Arsene Wenger at the club, Alberto Mendez was picked up from a 5th division team in Germany and was never really a player who could fit into the Emirates. The English league was too good for him as he managed just 4 league appearances for the English side before spending more time on loan away from the club.
