Arsenal's English Midfielder Wanted In Italy; Deal Will Happen Next Summer 1

Arsenal and Arsene Wenger had a frustrating weekend at the Old Trafford as a last-gasp header from Olivier Giroud rescued a point for the Londoners on the night.

Arsene Wenger revealed after the game that he is not happy with the performance of the squad and will surely hope to add some spice to their attack and midfield in the January transfer window to keep up their journey to the top of the table.

But one player who has now accepted that he may have no place at the Emirates is English midfielder Jack Wilshere.

With the signing of Granit Xhaka, Wenger decided to let the 24-year old leave the club on loan and sent him to Bournemouth where he has been decent so far this season.

However, his lack of consistency along with his long injury history, might see Wenger let him leave the club on a permanent basis and there will not be shortage of clubs who are ready to pounce on him.

A central midfielder by trait, Wilshere, is a silky player who loves to have the ball at his feet and dominate the game. He is a player who likes to take control of the game from the midfield which he has not been able to get a chance to do at the Emirates so it does not come as a surprise that some of the best clubs in Europe are after his signature.

In an exclusive story run by the Daily Star , Italian outfit AC Milan are reportedly desperate for his signature come the end of the season.

Milan were interested in his signature even in the transfer window before the start of the current season but Wenger was not ready to let him go on a permanent basis but with just one year left on his contract at the end of the season, it might be time for the manager to let him go or tie him for the long term.

Wilshere has also recently got a call up for the national side and he will feel that playing away from Arsenal might actually benefit him.

He is a top class player who can walk into most Premier League squads and Wenger will know that letting him go would be a blow for the club but he does not have a place in the squad at the moment and at his age, it is best for Wilshere to find regular game time elsewhere.

However, it is to be seen if AC Milan is his preferred destination come the end of the season.

Do you think Wenger should give Wilshere a new contract or let him leave next summer?
