Arsenal's Player Ratings As They Finish Runners After 2-2 Draw Against PSG 1

Arsenal have been held on to a disappointing 2-2 draw by French champions Paris Saint Germain as the visitors reached the top spot in the group on the basis of away goals.

The Gunners were heavily tipped to win all three points after their impressive run of form off late. However, the hosts were put to early setback as PSG Edinson Cavani have opened the scoring in just 18 minutes settling the nerves of the visitors.

Arsenal managed to equalize at the stroke of half time as Olivier Giroud scored from penalty. The second half has rather been very strange as Arsenal went on to a 2-1 lead after an own goal from Marco Verratti. But the visitors came back as the ball bounded from Iwobi went into Arsenal’s own net to make it even at the end of the game. The match has also seen more goals than the number of shots on the target.

Here we look at the player ratings of Arsenal.

Ospina- 7

The Colombian has been impressive for most parts of the match as he hardly put a step wrong despite the pressure from PSG.

Jenkinson- 6

Impressive in the second half as he went forward in the attack and worked very hard throughout the game.

Koscielny- 7

Has been the best defender for Arsenal in the game. Was very physical in containing Cavani as he was booked.

Mustafi- 6

Looked shaky at times but was okay overall despite having an odd day in the defense.

Gibbs- 7

Has been impressive as he constantly linked well with the attack. Made the most of the chance as he was picked ahead of Monreal.

Coquelin- 6

A poor night for the Frenchman as he looked out of sorts for most of the game and eventually made way to Walcott during the closing stages of the game.

Ramsey- 6

Was very impressive going forward and has worked very hard throughout the game as he kept on putting in extra yards to help in defense and attack.

Iwobi- 6

Looked rusty at times as he lacked a little confidence. An own goal could not help his confidence.

Ozil- 7

Tricky, clever, decisive but unable to find the important final passes that usually make difference. Had a good game though.

Sanchez- 7

Worked hard in the wide areas but was contained by PSG defenders as they doubled their defenders on him.

Giroud- 7

Had been the best player for the Gunners in the game. Kept the nerve to score the crucial penalty at the stroke of half time and had been a constant threat to PSG defenders in the middle.
