Arsenal's player ratings as they stroll past Basel in Champions League 1

Arsenal are in spectacular form over the last few weeks as the Gunners have now won four Premier League games in a row and have been dominant in the cup as well as Champions League.

They were very dominant in the possession and passing and Arsenal were soon 2-0 up with Theo Walcott scoring another before half time. Here we look the player ratings of Arsenal as the Gunners are looking great to make progress in the Europe’s elite competition this season.

Ospina- 7

Had little to do as Arsenal’s defense is in top form. Managed to keep a clean sheet as he made a couple of great saves.

Bellerin- 8

Possibly the best defender for Arsenal on the big night, the young Spaniard is keeping up with his reputation as he used his pace in both attack and defense.

Mustafi- 8

The German looks home as he is very comfortable at the centre of the park. He is quick to read the situation and have been impressive.

Koscielny- 8

Has been the cornerstone for Arsenal this season, Koscielny produced yet another great performance to keep the Basel attack at distance.

Monreal- 7

Looked impressive in attack than most of his precious games this season. Almost scored a goal.

Xhaka- 7

The new signing has been playing some extraordinary football and have been phenomenal in his passing as his direct and accurate passing has helped the attack become more direct.

Cazorla- 8

The Spaniard has been the leader in the midfield as his experience and vision are paying off for the Gunners. He has had a great game has opened up Basel defense for the first goal.

Ozil- 7

Has been impressive with his passing and creativity in the final third as usual. Could have been better with his finishing as he should have at least one goal by the chances he had over the course of the game.

Iwobi- 7

Has been decent in the game as the 20-year old continues to impress the fans. Was decent going forward and has impressed with his skills.

Walcott- 9

Perhaps the best form that he has been in his life so far, Walcott is slowly becoming the goal scoring machine Arsenal have always hoped for. The mercurial winger has scored twice in the game as he keeps on with his fine scoring this season.

Sanchez- 8

The Chilean has adapted to his new role as the central forward and have been doing a great job as he continues to impress. He has set up two goals but was not lucky to score one.
