The Premier League is host to some of the best talent in Europe and the summer transfer window saw a number of star players join clubs in the English domestic league for big money recently.
And though the 20 teams collectively managed to cross the £1bn mark in the transfer window, many teams are still looking to spend come the January transfer window.
The winter transfer window will not give managers too many options and they will also have to sepnd big to get their targets but Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is now desperate enough to make yet another big money move in January.
The victory at the weekend over the Hammers took the Gunners to the 2nd place in the points table, 14 games into the new season. However, the manager is not really happy with the options at his disposal and is now looking to add a striker to his squad.
Wenger added La Liga star Lucas Perez to his squad in the summer but has not been able to trust him in crunch games and with Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck unable to keep themselves fit for long periods, the manager is now jumping into the transfer market yet again for a striker.
The likes of Jamie Vardy, Gonzalo Higuain, Alxandre Lacazette and Mauro Icardi have all eluded the grasps of the Frenchman at the Emirates by recent reports suggest that the manger will not make a move for AC Milan star Carlos Bacca.

The 30 year old has been in impressive for in Serie A for over a season now and attracted interests in the summer with the likes of West Ham and Arsenal close to making a move. However, the Italian club were not ready to let him go and rejected any offers from other clubs.
However, reports in Italy suggest that Wenger is now disappointed with the returns of the strikers in his squad and is ready to make a move for him again in January.
According to the same report, AC Milan are now ready to let him go as they are not happy with what he has been doing at the club this season.

It is revealed that the 30-year old who has 2 and a half years left on his contract, will be available for €24m and that the player is also ready to make the move in January.
With 6 goals and 2 assists in 13 games in the domestic league, Bacca, is in decent form but at his age, he is not the long term addition that Wenger is after. However, his qualities will add dynamism to the squad that can help them through tough games.
