Arsenal will resume their Premier League campaign on Saturday against newly promoted side Watford FC.
The Gunners will be high on confidense this weekend as they visit Watford with a moral boosting win against Manchester United under their belt. Arsenal thrashed rivals Manchester United in the game week 7 encounter as they scored 3 goals in first 20 minutes.
Arsene Wenger’s men are currently placed at the second position in the league table just below Manchester City with 16 points. They would like to win this easy tie and go up the order.
Before the game against Watford, addressing the press, Arsene Wenger said: “Alexis Sanchez works hard for the team and finishes. His enthusiasm is contagious.”
Wenger also gave a update about his injury concenrs. He said: “Laurent Koscielny faces a fitness test. We have three players that could come back.”
The manager also spoke about the stiff competition in the league this season. He was quoted: “The top eight can compete for the Premier League. It is difficult to rule anybody out.
“You can compete for the championship if you turn up and fight for every game. We need to show the same quality.”
Wenger hailed birthday boy Mesut Ozil for his amazing performance against United. He opined: “What you want from Mesut is to score in the big games. He did against Manchester United.”
