Ending all the speculations about Jack Wilshere’s future at the Emirates, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has said that the midfielder will be offered a new deal from the North London outfit.
However, it will be interesting to see whether the midfielder will be willing to accept the offer or not. The England international left Arsenal for Bournemouth on a season-long deal after falling down the pecking order and has found his form with the Cherries. Wilshere, whose contract with the Gunners expires after this season, struggled with a number of injuries in recent seasons and made only three appearances for the North London outfit in 2015-16. But the injury prone midfielder has started for the Cherries in the last eight games. Not only that, he was also recalled to the national team after being dropped by former England manager Sam Allardyce.
Confirming the new deal, Wenger said: “We will offer him a new deal. When he is in top form we miss him.“It was a big decision for him to leave, but he wanted regular football.
“I read the reports on his progress and he is getting stronger.”
The Gunners will be locking horns against Bournemouth on Sunday and Wenger said that hee expects Wilshere to reveal some secret about his parent club to Cherries boss Eddie Howe.
He said “Yes – that’s normal. He is committed to his club.”
Wilshere’s run of eight straight games will come to end on Sunday as according to the rules, he is not permitted to play against Arsenal. But interestingly, the midfielder said that he would like to see the Cherries come out with all the three points.
Wilshere said: “It’s frustrating of course [to not play this weekend], I’ve just got a run of games.
“But it might be good for me, to miss one and go again – but I’ll be there.
“At the moment I’m a Bournemouth player, so I want Bournemouth to win.”
