Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen to play No.2 goalkeeper David Ospina in the crucial game against Bayern Munich, according to Daily Mirror.
The Gunners are set to face the German giants in arguably the biggest game of their season so far and Wenger is prepared to give David Ospina the chance between the sticks at Allianz Arena.
The decision have surprised a number of senior players in the squad as they have all expected the manager to go back to senior pro Petr Cech in the heavy-weight clash. The Czech international is undoubtedly the best keeper at the club and it is a massive gamble that is being taken by Wenger.
David Ospina have started in all the group stage games in the Champions League and Wenger will once again stick to his word as he is keen to keep Colombian at the club. Ospina was impressive between the posts in the group phases but fans believe that Wenger should go for the best possible lineup as Bayern Munich by far the most tactical side in the world and can dismantle any defense in few passes.
Cech has already produced a world-class display when the sides met last season which helped Gunners win 2-0 at the Emirates. However, Bayern have won their home game by a massive 5-1 last season.
Arsenal will also be boosted by the return of midfielder Xhaka ahead of the clash as the Swiss midfielder will be available for selection for the first time since his red card against Burnley last month.
Metropolitan police have also confirmed that there will not be any action against Granit Xhaka following an allegation about abusing a worker at Heathrow airport. It remains to be seen how well the gamble will pay off as Arsenal go in as under-dogs in the Wednesday clash at Allianz Arena.
