All football lovers’ eyes got stuck on the left back position of England football team as they have taken Luke Shaw in the squad for the match against Denmark on Wednesday. As Leighton Baines is also in good shape, Ashley Cole’s place in the squad is under serious threat.

“I am very conscious of the fact that I could have to leave a big name out,” said England manager Roy Hodgson mentioned this about his squad of summer’s World Cup. “I will have to disappoint some people I have worked with who have maybe done a good job for me and the team.”

Those comments have put the lime light on veteran Chelsea stars Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole all over again, though it was not for happy reason. In the recent time young midfield talents gearing up to show their talents, they are eagerly waiting for opportunities as well. This brings an immense pressure on 35-year-old Lampard. But the real story lies in the left-back slot, where Leighton Baines and Luke Shaw have also been included in the squad to face Denmark on Wednesday. It is very much obvious that among these three players, one will not get selected.

According to the sources Jose Mourinho is reportedly supporting his one of the most efficient footballer, who has played four world cup qualifiers. Mourinho told reporters. “They took me, by qualifying, so after that, I take them on my plane. I don’t think it makes a lot of sense if you trust some players to do qualification and, after that, you don’t select them and pick others.”
