Atletico de Kolkata have faced defending champions Chennaiyin FC in their first game of the third edition of Indian Super League. The hosts have managed to hold their record of not losing to Chennaiyin at home with a thrilling 2-2 draw.
After a exciting but goalless half, both the teams have increased their pressing which led to an exciting second half. Atletico have opened the scoring with an excellent goal from Doutie. However, Chennaiyin have hit back fast as they scored two goals in just three minutes. The inaugural champions however managed a point after winning a penalty in the final minutes of the match.

Was hugely exposed on the right side of the defense and has failed to track Rane’s run which has allowed Chennaiyin back into the game.

The Spaniard has controlled the midfield as his passing has dictated the play of the team and have been able to contain Chennaiyin attackers effectively.
Doutie- 9
Man of the match without a second thought! Opened the scoring for the team while helped Atletico win a penalty after being fouled by Harry in the box.
Bikramjit- 6
Has looked good before suffering cramps as he made way in the alter stages of the game.
Lara- 7
The Spaniard has put in a great performance as he threatened Chennaiyin defense multiple times and have created a number of chances.

Has looked effective throughout the game as he should have scored a goal from a couple of chances.

Not a great game for the Canadian but has managed to convert the penalty in crunch situation too bag one point for the team.
