Reports in Italy claim Carlo Ancelotti first choice of Bayern Munich to replace Pep Guardiola.

Rumours getting stronger, Pep Guardiola reported having agreed on the terms of a possible contract to take over the managerial post of Premier League giant Manchester City next season. So no more verbal talks. According to Football Italia, Bayern already holding talks with former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti to replace Guardiola at the end of the season.

Before Jürgen Klopp was confirmed as Liverpool boss last week, the Italian was heavily linked with the Reds as the next manager at Anfield. He is presently on a year-long vacation after Real Madrid sacked him despite giving them the much awaited 10th European cup in 2014 but has said that will be back for the next season.

Guardiola’s contract will end after this season and he is not interested in continuing with the Bavarians as he has already made his mind to move in English football. But earlier Bayern was told to be so desperate to convince Pep for a contract extension. Club’s honorary president Franz Beckenbauer also requested Guardiola to stay in Munich describing Pep and Bayern are made for each other, “I think he already knows this. He’s not going to leave Bayern waiting and decide at some point in April or May. It would be too let then. I expect it to come sooner.”
