Bayern Munich offer 2 players to land Manchester United flop
As per the latest reports form Daily Star, Bayern Muncih are ready to offer Arjen Robben and Thomas Muller plus cash to land Manchester United flop star Angel di Maria. The German giants are looking to bolster their aging squad with new signings.
Bayern Munich were earlier ready for a straight swap deal including Muller plus cash which United are not interested on. However, the Bundesliga champions are keen to land di Maria this summer as they have put Robben into the mix.
Robben is a long standing target of Manchester United since 2004 when he eventually moved to Chelsea. The player has grown in to one of the world’s best players and given his relationship with Louis van Gaal could lure United to agree to the deal.
Louis van Gaal has given Muller a chance to break in to first team and the player has been a revelation under van Gaal back in 2009. Muller also shares a special bond with Muller whom he likes to have in his line up.
Can the deal really happen?
Bayern Munich would not want to give either Robben or Muller as both of them are fan favorites and would always make difference in the final third. Arjen Robben is undoubtedly Bayern’s best player in last two and half years. Muller takes Robben’s role as the engine to their attack when the Dutchman is injured or rested.
The Reds would clearly want to buy Angel di Maria to replace injured and aging Franck Ribery but a deal including Robben and Muller can never take place which will bring a lot of criticism from the club’s fans.
