Bayern Munich’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has once again made it clear that the club won’t enter the race to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.
Moreover, Ronaldo to Bayern rumours caught pace after Robert Lewandowski finalized his move to Barcelona. However, the Bavarians still insist that they won’t be replacing the Pole with Ronaldo.
Ever since Ronaldo has expressed his desire to leave United Bayern have been touted as one of the suitors for him. But since the club is not known for ‘breaking the bank’ for lucrative signings, they have abstained themselves from entering any negotiations.

Furthermore, Bayern will pursue other targets than Ronaldo after completing the signings of Sadio Mane, Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui.
Cristiano Ronaldo was never on Bayern’s list suggests Salihamidzic
After a long fought battle with Barcelona, Bayern have finally succumbed to the fact that letting Lewandowski leave is the best option for all parties.
The striker will now sign a three-year deal with the Catalans, who have agreed to pay a fee of €45 million plus €5 million add-ons to Bayern.
Naturally, the Bundesliga side are now searching for his replacement and once again Ronaldo’s name emerged as an option.
However, despite revealing it earlier that Bayern won’t pursue Cristiano Ronaldo, Salihamidzic has again reciprocated the same.

While speaking to German channel SPORT1 Salihamidzic said, “I have a lot of respect for Cristiano Ronaldo, his successes and his career. But once again: That was and is not a topic for us.”
Bayern at the moment are chasing defensive players in center-back Matthijs de Ligt and midfielder Konrad Laimer. Salihamidzic has already been to Italy to discuss a move for De Ligt with Juventus, while talks for Laimer are at early stages.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo now finds himself in a fix after failing to find a new club so far. Chelsea owner Todd Boehly had held talks with Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes but Thomas Tuchel’s straight ‘NO’ collapsed a potential deal.
On the other hand, Lionel Messi’s PSG have also rejected the proposal to land the Portuguese. Ronaldo could, as a result stay at United until his deal expires in June 2023.
