Brimming with confidence after playing a starring role for France against the Netherlands in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, Manchester United ace Paul Pogba is confident of hitting the top gear with the Red Devils sooner than later.
The France international, who arrived at Old Trafford for a world record £89million move from Juventus, has made a slow start with his new club and has come under fire from the fans after his dismal performances. But now the midfielder has claimed that once he gets adapted to the new environment , he will be at his devastating best. He also insisted that he is under no pressure due to his huge transfer fee.
Talking ahead of tonight’s big clash against arch rivals Liverpool, the French star insisted: “There’s a little time needed to adapt but once the machine gets going . . .
“Do you think the transfer fee puts me under pressure? No, there’s no pressure.
“Things are going very well. I’m blending in with the team. I’m enjoying it. I’m adapting, trying to find the ideal position for me so I can bring more to the team.

United’s performance has taken a beating in the recent matches but Pogba is confident that the Red Devils can do better.
“It’s just the start. It’s what happens at the end of the season that counts. Little by little we’re improving.
“I have confidence in the team, I know we can get better.”
Talking about the criticism he is facing for his performances, he said: “I suppose they like to talk about Paul Pogba. They like the name Pogba, it has a good ring to it. It doesn’t bother me.
“Sometimes it does when I hear things here and there. It stays with me maybe for one day, then I put my music back on and I dance.”
The midfielder also hailed teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Calling him ‘big brother’, the former Juventus star said the former Sweden international motivates the other players to give their best.
Pog added: “Zlatan is a bit like a big brother. He has a winners’ mentality and he tries to push his players all the way to reach the top.
Speaking on Jose Mourinho, he said: “The coach is very good. He knows how to make players improve, so I hope to learn a lot about him.”
