Bhaichung also stressed, clarifying, “I never asked the team management to omit Mohammed Rafiq from the team this season. Rather if I had the last word in selecting team, I would have recruited Rafiq in the beginning. Rafiq steered the team to the victory in the ISL final last season by scoring the important goal. So how he can be axed from the team this season?”
