Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal will not be a happy man has his side have not been able to find any kind of consistency since the turn of the year.
Though they managed to get into the next round of the FA Cup, Arsenal, are currently losing ground in the Premier League points table and are also close to an exit from the Champions League, having fallen to a 5-1 defeat to Bayern Munich earlier last week.
The Gunners are in danger of going trophyless this season and the manager will hope that his side can get back to full force to try and put in a decent run till the end of the season.
Wenger will not be happy with the number of injuries his squad have picked up this season and though he is slowly getting some of the players back, he was dealt a huge blow today.
Star midfielder Santi Cazorla, who is the first choice midfielder for Arsenal this season, picked up an injury late last year that ruled him out for a couple of months.

The Spaniard was expected to be back in action late this month but it is now understood that his season has effectively come to an end.
The 32-year old last played for Arsenal in the group stage game against Ludogrets n the Champions League in October, where he limped off halfway through the game.
Though Wenger was confident that he would be back after a couple of weeks, Cazorla was later ruled out for 3months and it is now understood that he might not be back in action before the end of the season.
He underwent a surgery to reduce his issues and was expected to be back by February but Arsenal were dealt a huge blow yesterday.

The likes of Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck have all fallen prey to similar injuries in the past.
The trio, who have not had the best history in regards to injuries, have been ruled out for a few weeks or months initially but were not able to get back to action immediately.
They have always found it hard to get back to full fitness quickly and reports from around the media now claim that there is something that is not being done properly at the Emirates.
It is understood that Cazorla is already preparing himself for the next season and with less than 18 months left on his contract, he might not be at the Emirates come the next season.
