Big Blow For Arsenal As Italian Giants Move Close To Landing Alexis Sanchez

Having picked up just 3 points from their last three games in the Premier League, Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal have found consistency hard to come by this season, and are currently reeling in the 4th place in the points table.

Arsenal are currently 13 points off Chelsea at the top of the table with a game in hand and face a tricky trip to Anfield this weekend for a crunch tie.

A loss in this game could throw them out of the top-4 and Wenger will hope that his side can find some form to stay close to the top of the table.

The manager has however, already been planning for the future, irrespective of if he will be at the Emirates next season. This has seen him look to buy a few players in the summer but Wegner has been slightly busier trying to keep the players currently at the club, at the club for a long time.

German playmaker Mesut Ozil, who has been offered a lucrative contract is yet to put pen to paper but one player, whose future is now in grave danger is Chilean winger Alexis Sanchez.

The former Barcelona man joined the Emirates a couple of years ago and has ever since been their most effective player in all competitions.

He has 17 goals to his name this season in the league alone and is one of the most productive players in Europe at the moment but he is currently unsettled at the Emirates.

It is understood that the 27-year old is not pleased with the progress of his side recently and is yet to sign a new contract with the club.

He has less than 18 month left on his previous deal at the Emirates, and if he does not sign a new contract before the end of the season, Wenger has little option but to let him leave.

This has seen the likes of PSG, Real Madrid and Sevilla, all linked with a move for the winger this summer.

Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Juventus have made a £25m bid

But Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport has today ran a story on their cover page that Italian Champions Juventus have made him their top priority transfer target and have already tabled a bid of £25.2 (€30m) to try and land him this summer.

It is understood that Sanchez wants a huge pay rise to stay at the club and that Arsenal have offered Sanchez a contract worth around £180,000-a-week, a £50,000 per week increase.

However, the winger is holding out for £250,000-a-week, which Wenger is not ready to pay.

So Juventus are reportedly confident of landing him in the summer but do you think Alexis Sanchez will leave Arsenal this summer?
