Biggest Hint yet: Riyad Mahrez to join Chelsea? 1

Premier sportswear sponsor Adidas were left red-faced earlier today when a Chelsea fan spotted no.7 Riyad Mahrez shirts being sold on the brand’s official website.

This came as a surprise to many as Arsenal were hot favourites to sign the Leicester City ace. Some fans even mocked Adidas saying the brand are pushing the Blues to sign the Premier League player of the season 2015/16.

The 25-year old has been speculated to join Arsenal as the Gunners are willing to pay 41 million pounds to secure the services of the Algerian.

Mahrez went on to score an amazing solo goal against Celtic and manager Claudio Ranieri has yet again urged Mahrez to stay with Leicester as he could be warming the bench at a new club.

Ranieri said: “”Did you see how Riyad is happy? He played so well, worked so hard for the team, he scored a goal and he stays with us.

“It is very important [to keep him] he is one of our stars.

“Other teams maybe have more stars and maybe he doesn’t play at the same level, because maybe is on the bench so it is much better he stays with me.”

Adidas have previously put Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s jersey on sale a week before his official transfer to Manchester United. The option to buy Mahrez No.7 jersey is now removed from the site.
