In what can only be described as a mass brawl, Manchester City and Chelsea were involved in what could easily be the ugliest game of the season.
With Chelsea leading, and looking to dominate, the home side found it frustrating to keep hold of the ball and the unease in the whole of the Etihad was clear in the dirty lunge by Argentine man Sergio Aguero.
The star striker jumped two footed into David Luiz, Chelsea’s inform defender which sparked off an ugly fight between the players of both the teams.
Manchester City felt the worst of the aftermath as Sergio Aguero was shown a straight red while Fernandinho was also sent off for his antics off the ball.
The Manchester City striker will now face a 3 game + an additional game on the touchline for the earlier ban he picked up for his elbow on Winston Reid in the game against West Ham.
This will mean that the manager will miss the services of Aguero till they face Liverpool in the final fixture of the year.
Fernandinho, who is also suspended for the Champions League game against Celtic this week, was also sent off in this game for grabbing Chelsea midfielder Fabregas by his throat and pushing him over the advertising boards in ugly fashion.

The City midfielder will also miss the next three games for Guardiola’s side leaving the manager with a weakened side.
Cesc Fabregas picked up a yellow for his troubles in the brawl but the FA is now adamant that there should be greater action taken to prevent such idiocy in the future.
According to recent reports, both clubs and their sets of players will be punished further with the FA ready to put more bans and fines and will know their fate in the upcoming days.
The FA will review video evidence of the ugly episode, as well as taking in referee Anthony Taylor’s report, before deciding on what action to take.

It is likely that players from both teams might yet to be suspended for further games in the league and it is also likely that they will be slapped with heavy bans.
To get an idea as to the value of the fines that will be imposed, the FA want to increase the £375,000 and £225,000 fines slapped on Chelsea and Tottenham for their brawl at the Bridge late last season.
It is understood that the FA want to make a statement and want to impose the strongest possible sanctions to try to ensure clubs keep their players in line.
