David de Gea To Real Madrid: This New Twist Will Certainly Clear All The Doubts 1

Having put in some consistent performances recently, Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United have made decent progress in the points table and are just a couple of points off of a place in the Champions League next season.

The new manager at the club will hope that he can get them to play in Europe’s elite competition come the start of the next season and he has already started planning for life after the end of the current campaign.

Mourinho is looking to improve on his squad by getting in star players who can help them in their search for glory and this has seen him linked with a number of stars recently.

But he was dealt a blow today after it was revealed that Zinedine Zidane, the Real Madrid manager is ready to pay any price for star shot-stopper David de Gea to get him to the club at the end of the season.

Mourinho is not ready to let the 26-year old go but it is understood that Real Madrid are ready to trigger a release clause in his contract that might bind the hands of the Old Trafford outfit.

The Spanish shot-stopper has been among the best players in Europe in his position for sometime now and has been the most consistent players for Manchester United in the last couple of years.

He is a top class player who can walk into any squad around Europe and it is now understood that Real Madrid will do all it takes to get him to the Bernabeu.

De Gea was linked with a move to the Spanish capital a couple of years ago in a saga that ran till the deadline day. United managed to keep hold of him after the deadline day, and quickly acted upon it by offering De Gea a bumper contract to tie him to the long term.

This new contract will keep the shot-stopper at the Old Trafford till 2019 with an option to extend it to 2020 but it was reported that a release clause in his contract, which amounts to €65m, is what Real Madrid are prying on.

The Spanish outfit are ready to meet the valuation, but according to reports from the Times, De Gea does not have a release clause in his contract.

A story published by their paper read:

United will block any new attempt by Real Madrid to sign David De Gea. The Spaniards are thought to be considering launching another bid for the goalkeeper but United are unwilling to sell. It is understood that no release clause exists in the 26-year-old’s latest contract.

With no intention to sell and no release clause in his contract, it is hard to see Real Madrid pricing him away this summer.

Do you think David de Gea will move to Real Madrid at the end of the season?
