Indian Super League champions Atletico de Kolkata have signed Portuguese striker Helder Postiga as the marquee player for season 2.

 

The 32 year old striker is an experienced footballer at both club level and international level. 

 

He played for big European clubs like Porto, Tottenham Hotspur, Saint-Etienne, Sporting Clube de Portugal, Valencia, Lazio and has huge international experience as well being capped 71 times for Portugal national team.

He is a Portuguese international since 2003, Postiga represented the country in two World Cups and three European Championships, helping the national team reach the final at Euro 2004.

He has many impressive honours in his resume. He has 1 UEFA Cup, 1 Intercontinental Cup, 2 Portuguese Ligas, 1 Taca de Portugal and three Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira titles with Porto.

He also won a Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira with Sporting also.

He was part of the Poruguese squad who made their way to the final of 2004 UEFA European Championship but lost to Greece.

He has 27 goals for Portugal from his 71 appearances for A Selecção das Quina.

Postiga is the sixth all time top scorer for the Portuguese national team and he was last capped for them on 14th November,2014.
