Sky Sports sources have a reason to believe that Carlos Tevez could well be on his way back to Premier League next season and that too with one of the top 4 sides in the Premier League.
Sky Sports have revealed that one of the Premier League side is among the four clubs involved, who have submitted an official bid for the striker. Surprisingly though, Sky Sports have confirmed that the Premier League club in question here is not Liverpool.
Tevez was heavily linked with a £11million move to Anfield in recent times but after Liverpool’s failure to place a bid for the striker leaves Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United in race to bring Tevez back to Premier League.
What an interesting set of clubs we have here bidding for Argentine’s signature. Manchester clubs have had their good and worse time with the striker as Tevez left Manchester (United and City) on a sour note, so it will be fair to rule them out of the race.
It leaves the London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea to battle it out for the hard working and goal scoring Tevez. It is no secret that Chelsea want a top class striker with Jose Mourinho himself confronting that he has shortlisted 5 names to be the next signing at Stamford Bridge.
At the moment, Radamel Falcao is the odds on favorite to sign for Chelsea but on form, Tevez gives a better option to Mourinho than the inconsistent Colombian.
Arsenal can do with a top-class striker and given the asking price is just £11million, it would not dig a big hole in Arsene Wenger’s pocket to sign the tenacious Argentine.
Apart from the unnamed Premier League club, Sky Sports have confirmed that Atletico Madrid are one of those four sides who have made an official bid to sign Carlos Tevez.
