Breaking: Chelsea Defender John Terry Could Join Chinese Club Next Summer
Chelsea defender John Terry is set to be offered a massive deal to play in the Chinese Super League next season, according to Daily Mail.
The 35-year old is currently in his one-year deal at Stamford Bridge and a new contract will only be offered at the end of the season which could lure him to move to China where Guangzhou Evergrande are ready to sign him as they are willing to offer a massive £8m a year if he decides to move to China.
Guangzhou are one of the best teams in Asia and are the champions in China for the last six seasons making them one of the most feared teams in Asia. The 35-year old is already a brand ambassador for the club and would be raring to join them which could see a reunion with former Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari.
However, Chelsea could still keep hold of the player if he is still in the scheme of things under Conte between now and end of the season. The decision over his future will be made only if he does not get enough playing time under Conte in the next few months.
The 35-year old had suffered an ankle injury earlier and has now returned to full fitness which is a good sign for the Blues fans as he still remains one of their top defenders despite his Terry has been the first choice defender for Chelsea till the ankle injury and Conte has deployed Cahill, Luiz and Azpilicueta as the centre backs in his new system which has given huge success to the club in the recent weeks.
However, it remains to be seen whether Conte would go back to Terry as all the three defenders has looked reliable in the central defense in the recent weeks as they have now won four Premier League games in a row.
