Atletico Madrid defender Filipe Luis has told his former teammate Diego Costa to leave Chelsea and join him at Vincente Caledron.
Luis who had earlier played for Chelsea after moving from Atletico Madrid had signed back with the Spanish giants after a woeful spell with the Blues at the Stamford Bridge.
‘[Costa] is the player who gave me the most advice in my career, and I love him like a brother,’ said Luis.
‘We both know that our mutual love for Atletico is a common theme in our relationship. I have no doubts that he would be very happy here.
‘He has been the best ‘9’ in the world and can be the best again depending on what he does at his club. I always want him on my team, so hopefully I can get back to playing with him.’
Diego Costa who had a below par season where he scored only 12 goals in 28 appearances is rumored to be leaving Chelsea this summer with Atletico Madrid showing strong intent to sign their former player.
The Blues have already signed Michy Batshuayi but are also going for Everton’s Romelu Lukaku in an attempt to cover for the absence one of the highly talented striekrs in entire Europe.
