Thorgan Hazard today has officially joined Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach on a permanent basis. Hazard initially joined the Bundesliga side on loan at the beginning of this season. Chelsea have the option of exercising a future buy-back option.
Thorgan is Eden Hazard’s younger brother and signed along with his brother in the summer of 2012. Eden Hazard has gone on to become a Chelsea regular whereas Thorgan was immediately sent on loan to Belgian side SV Zulte.
Thorgan impressed everyone with his skills and composure over the ball. Many have predicted Thorgan to go on and be one of the very best in the future. Chelsea therefore have played it smart by inserting a buy-back clause in his contract so that if and Thorgan becomes a superstar, Chelsea will have the first option of buying him.
Thorgan Hazard won his international call up to the Belgian side based on his performances with Zulte. Hazard came back to Chelsea earlier in the season and was once against loaned out, this time to Borussia Munchengladbach. Thorgan finally found a team where he could see himself playing regular football and has swiftly completed his move to the Bundesliga side.
Thorgan Hazard has joined Borussia Monchengladbach until 2020. Hazard has lots of years ahead of him to prove his worth to Jose Mourinho and Chelsea if the Special One decides to go back and sign him for Chelsea.
