Jackson Martinez could yet still sign for Arsenal after his recent claims
FC Porto star striker Jackson Martinez says he will decide on joining Arsenal in the coming days amid speculations of him joining AC Milan. The Colombian has been the top transfer target for Arsenal as they are looking to sign a quality striker this summer.
However, recently FC Porto president announced that Martinez will move to Italian club AC Milan this summer. The Italian giants were thought to have won the race for the Colombian but the striker admits there are chances of him joining other clubs as well.
He said, “I am as close to Milan as I am to other clubs. In the next few days I will decide my future.”
He said, “I am optimistic on Jackson’s move to Milan, but we’re not quite there yet. There is a good possibility we’ll conclude the transfer, but we are not yet at the all-clear moment.
“What I can say with certainty is that Martinez is a player worthy of a top club like Milan who wrote history. The Rossoneri are not just a big club, but a huge one.”
With these comments, striker has left everyone at Arsenal and AC Milan wondering about his next move. He is clearly leaving Porto next season and his next move could go a long way in the outcome of Premier League or Serie A standings as he will be coming on the back of a 29-goal season.
