As per the latest reports from London Evening Standard, Arsenal have decided to take the option of Extending Thomas Rosicky’s contract at the club.
Arsenal will extend the Czech Republic star’s contract by one more year. The news was made public by London Evening Standard’s James Olley who tweeted the news of Rosicky’s contract extension.

Rosicky was tipped for an exit from the club after several reports linking him with a move away from the club in the summer. Rosicky would have become a free agent next season and a move to his former club Sparta Pargaue was seen as the ideal move for the player.
Rosicky’s extension will be met with mixed feeling among the Arsenal fans as they do not see the Czech star as the solution to their midfield needs. He is already 34-years-old and is constantly battling from injuries.
Arsenal fans were hoping for an improved look to their side next season, which promises to be their season provided the manager rings in positive changes. This certainly looks like the same-old Arsenal philosophy of managing with what they have got rather than taking tough decisions.
Rosicky has endured a struggling season, yet again troubled with injuries. The 34-year-ols star has made just 1 substitute appearance since March. Rosicky joined the North London club from the Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in 2006.
