Huge blow to Merseyside giants Liverpool FC as their marquee manager Jurgen Klopp will not be present at the touch line during the Liverpool vs Sunderland game on Saturday evening due to suspected bout of appendicitis.

ESPN FC tweeted the news to confirm. The tweet read:

Liverpool are currently placed in the eighth position in the league table with 34 points from 24 games. It has not been a satisfactory season for the Reds as the team have not performed up to the standards and expectations.

In the lasr game week that is during the midweek, Liverpool went down 0-2 against league leaders Leicester City at the Kingpower Stadium. Jamie Vardy’s brilliance forced Jurgen Klopp’s men to bow down in front of the Foxes.

The game against Sunderland tonight is extremely crucial as any point loss would push them further behind in the league table and dreams of even finishing among the top 6 would become far fetched.

In such a situation manager Jurgen Klopp’s absence from the sideline is definitely a big jolt to the Liverpool camp as the German tactician is himself a huge source of inspiration for the team as well as the fans.
