Mamadou Sakho has been spotted in London today.
The transfer deadline is looming large, with Liverpool looking to offload the French defender.
Crystal Palace boss Sam Allardyce has talked to the Reds about the out of favour centre-back.
It is understood there are huge obstacles to overcome because of the £20 million price tag.
But his agent has been spotted in London, and is there to continue talks with Palace.
It is now being speculated the deal could eventually become a permanent one, and terms are being discussed.

This would provide Sakho with the opportunity to showcase his talents ahead of a long-term move in the summer.
But for the Reds, if Sakho leaves for just six months on a loan move, it would be a big disappointment, after hoping to capitalise on the stability of his contract and the market’s current climate.
Sakho spoke briefly to French newspaper L’Equipe this morning and suggested he needed more time to consider offers.
But clearly, time is not on his side, and his representatives are now exploring the options with the Eagles.
And a picture of purporting to be him at Euston Station has just popped up on Twitter.
The centre half has twice been linked with moves to West Brom in the past two transfer windows.
The Reds have previously rejected a loan bid from Southampton, who wanted the defender to replace Jose Fonte.
Sakho cost Liverpool £18million when he joined from Paris Saint-Germain in 2013.
West Brom boss Tony Pulis is also eager to bring in a centre-back before the transfer window closes.
But Sakho is a no-go with Liverpool only prepared to sell and Albion only harbouring interest in a loan capacity.
Sakho has been made aware that he has no future on Merseyside under Jurgen Klopp and has courted interest from around Europe this January.
