As per the reports in the Star, Manchester United are looking for a straight swap deal for PSG’s star striker Edinson Cavani by offering them a British record signing Angel di Maria.
The Uruguyan has looked highly unsettled at PSG as he plays as a second striker next to Zlatan Ibrahimovic instead of playing as a main striker. The player has expressed his frustration many times but things did not change much.
Manchester United are looking to sign a quality striker this summer and has been heavily linked with Cavani in the recent months. PSG rate the striker at a whopping ₤50 million and the Red devils are looking to get the deal in a straight swap deal by offering di Maria.
With the likes of Robin van Persie and Javier Hernandez expected to leave Old trafford this summer and no additional options left for striker position, Manchester United are very keen on the deal to happen.
Angel di Maria has been a long standing target for PSG and after having missed on the player last summer due to Financial Fair Play regulations, the French giants are still keen to sign the record signing.
PSG are reportedly keen on the deal as they could accomodate the wages of di Maria as the departure of Cavani will make room for the transfer to happen. Should the deal happen, it will be remembered as one of the greatest swap deals ever.
