Breaking: Manchester United Star To Be Drafted In Club’s Museum!!

Manchester United will reportedly open an exhibition dedicated to Wayne Rooney at the club’s museum.

Rooney moved past Sir Bobby Charlton to become Manchester United’s all-time leading scorer last month.

The 31-year-old bagged a 250th goal courtesy of a stunning free-kick to rescue a 1-1 draw against Stoke.

Despite no longer being first choice under Jose Mourinho, Rooney’s place in United folklore is assured.

And The Sun claim the club are ready to offer him a special place in their museum to pay tribute.

It is claimed every single one of Rooney’s 250 United goals will be shown on a rolling video screen when the exhibition launches at the end of the season.

His old shirts and boots will also feature alongside photographs, memorabilia and clips of his best moments at the club.

United want Rooney to be immortalised for all he has achieved since signing from Everton in 2004.

The 31-year-old has won almost every major honour available to him during his 13-year stint at Old Trafford.

After years of missing out, Rooney finally won the FA Cup last season – captaining the club to the trophy under former boss Louis van Gaal.

He returned to Manchester United training on Wednesday after missing their 3-0 win at Leicester on Sunday due to illness.

It is expected that the United skipper will be in the squad for the Premier League visit of Watford to Old Trafford on Saturday, as Jose Mourinho’s side look to break into the top four.

Manchester United have not lost in the league since October, with that 15-game run helping to move them to within two points of fourth-placed Arsenal.
