Arsenal’s hopes of signing Julian Draxler have ended in disappointment as French champions Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly secured the signings of the Wolfsburg star.
French new outlet L’Équipe has claimed that a €36m deal has been reached between the two clubs while RMC has suggested that the amount is €35m.

On the other hand, Goal has reported that both the clubs have given their nod to deal which will be worth €45 million. However, the Bundesliga outfit will not receive the €45 at once but instead, they will be paid €35m initially with the possibility of an extra €10m in bonuses. The report further claimed that the German would sign a contract for between three and four years.

Meanwhile, the reports have further claimed that the Germany international is still undecided on his future. He was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal but he now looks well set to leave for the French capital. Money can be the biggest reason behind Arsenal’s failure to secure the services of their long-term target.
Renowned football journalist, Emanuele Giulianelli recently said that the Gunners were not willing to meet the demands of the player. He claimed that Draxler’s agent had told Arsene Wenger his client is available for £33.9m but the French tactician was hesitant to make any move.
Giulianelli tweeted: “Draxler’s agent has been in touch with Arsenal who says they‘re interested.
“Wolfsburg wants €40m [£33.9m] but Arsenal aren’t willing to go to that far.
The news will be a huge blow for the North London outfit who are struggling to tie down Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez. The Gunners have reportedly started looking for the replacement of the duo and Draxler would have been an interesting player.
