Petr Cech is a subject to a huge transfer tussle between European giants Arsenal, PSG and Chelsea. The veteran goal keeper has publicly stated his desires to leave Stamford Bridge ahead of next season with PSG and Arsenal battling it out for his services.
British media is certain that Cech will end up playing for Arsenal as the player does not want to leave London since his entire family and kids are well settled in the city. Moving out of London will be a huge trouble for player’s personal life.
Considering this, Arsenal are the only London club which need a world class goal keeper and could afford Petr Cech’s wages. Deal looked all but settled after Arsene Wenger’s personal remarks about signing Cech, where the Frenchman said that the deal is likely to be completed before the next season starts.
However, all of that has been thrown in dark after French newspaper Léquipe have broken the story of PSG’s mega £39million contract offer spread over a 5-year period for Petr Cech. According to Léquipe, Cech can be braced for a £150,000-a-week in wages and the French champions want to sign him on a 5-year deal.
According to reports, Jose Mourinho does not want Cech to join his rival Arsene Wenger and rather wants Chelsea to sell Petr Cech to PSG.
However, things could trun south for all of these clubs if Real Madrid decide to ring a circus among Premier League keepers. David De Gea is destined for a move away to Bernabeu this season and United have their heart set on a transfer move for Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris.
This leaves Tottenham wanting to sign a world class keeper as well and Petr Cech, who is fishing for a club in London makes it an ideal match.
It is certainly shaping up to be one epic transfer saga involving two Premier League giants and one ambitious French side.
