Sergio Ramos to Manchester United has moved one step closer after Marca have reported the ground breaking news of Sergio Ramos collecting his belongings from Real Madrid training ground before heading to his holidays.
According to reports in Spain, Ramos had a phone call with Real Madrid president Florentiono Perez where the defender was asked to stay at Bernabeu by the Perez. In return, Ramos refused to grant Perez his wish and said if a bid from Manchester United comes he must accept it.
To ease the tension surrounding this move, Ramos has opted to go on a vacation and is hoping for a substantial bid from Louis Van Gaal and Manchester United.
Independent have confirmed United’s opening £30million and above bid for the 29-year old player however, it has failed to meet Madrid’s valuation which could go as high as £45million.
Will United meet those valuation? I doubt it but as things stand Ramos and Manchester United are indispensable to each other and want to force a move as soon as possible.
Elsewhere, the third cog in the Manchester United – Real Madrid wheel David De Gea has put up his £2.5million mansion up for sale further triggering his move to Bernabeu next season. De Gea is not interested in joining Man United’s pre-season training camp either.
Meanwhile, United could go all out for Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin as Arsenal have backed out from the £25million valuation of the player leaving Old Trafford as his most likely destination.
