Russian giants Spartak Moscow are keen to make a loan move for Manchester United out of favour winger Memphis Depay in January, according to reports.
The Dutch forward has failed to settle at Old Trafford since his arrival last summer and things have been far worse for the talented youngster this season as he was restricted to bench for most of the games.
The 22-year old has come to Manchester United amid high expectations as he has been the top scorer in Eredivisie the season prior to his signing and have been considered as the next big talent by many on-lookers.
However, he had a bad season last year and Jose Mourinho has provided him with enough chances to prove his worth as he has so far played only 20 minutes in the Premier League while making seven appearances across all competitions so far.
According to Russia’s Sport Express, a loan deal is on cards as they are ready to provide a lifeline to the young winger who has fallen down the pecking order below the likes of Ashley Young, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
The club manager Massimo Carrera is reportedly willing to use Quincy Promes, who is a close friend to Memphis, to broker the deal as the duo play for the Netherlands national team.
Memphis has shown that he is up for the challenge as he recently scored a brace for the Oranje in the World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg but Jose Mourinho is yet to give him a start this season.
Premier League Everton are also interested in the player as boss Ronald Koeman is an admirer of the young Dutchman. Spartak are currently on top of the Russian league as they are three points clear in the first position.
