Eriksen made a comeback to the Premier League after his struggles with Inter Milan and health issues at the euros. the midfielder played 60 games for Antonio Conte’s inter where he merely managed 8 goals and 3 assists.

Further on, his cardiac arrest at euros forced him to implant a cardioverter-defibrillator in his body.

The Dane had to mutually terminate his contract with Inter in October last year due to Serie A not allowing players with cardioverter-defibrillator in their body to compete in their league.

Eriksen returned to the Premier League where he had plied his trade with Tottenham for six and a half years. he produces staggering numbers for the North Londoners every season, ending up with 69 goals and 90 assists in 305 games for them.

Talking about his potential partnership with Eriksen, Bruno said, “I always learn from players who play similar position as me, so I think Christian has been an amazing player in the past and even last season when he played for Brentford, he was amazing for them and I think he’s such a good quality player for us.”

He further added, “I’m looking forward to playing alongside him because I think the best players make you play better, make you improve, so I’m looking forward to learn from him and to help him in any way I can.”

Bruno Fernandes had an arguably below-par season last year with just 10 goals and 13 assists in 45 games. united further missed out on champions league qualification which added to the criticism of the midfielder.

However, Fernandes has been showing great enthusiasm and putting in tough work at United’s preseason to get in shape for the new campaign.

Christian Eriksen will now join him in the midfield which will be another great opportunity for the Portuguese to flourish.
